      Funds are being raised to help Veterans returing home from Iraq and Afghanistan with emotional problems. The funds will help obtain a dog from the animal shelter, then train the dog and later donate the dog to a Veteran.

      High School Art Competition and Open House

      High school art students in Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester counties can take part in an art competition at the Mosely Gallery located on the campus of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

      Entries in photography, comic book art, 2-D and 3-D art can be dropped off at the gallery on May 19 or 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

      The exhibition takes place May 27-June 27 with a reception and open house on May 29 from 4 to 6 p.m.
